It's blonde and strong, the Valhalla Blonde Ale.
The Specs:
The Malt Similar to a Leffe Blonde, this beer has a grain bill dominated by a light Pilsen malt, 10% pale ale malt, and a 5% combination of two caramel malts. The result being a very light, golden colored ale. The Hops & Boil Coming from two central European varieties, including Kazbek from the Czech Republic and Saphir from Germany, both known for their aroma characteristics with a reduced bittering influence. As typical with many Belgian styled beers, a small amount of coriander was added to give the beer a little extra spice and citrus flavors. The Valhalla Blonde Ale is now available on tap from both inside the pub and from the outdoor deck bar, in pints, pitchers, and growlers. Enjoy Yoga? Like to drink beer? Ever wonder what would happen if you combined them? If so, you're in luck as this Saturday, July 1st, Tricia Heibel will be hosting a Beer Yoga class outside on the deck facing the lake, starting at 10am.
Join us on the patio for a beginner-friendly, beautiful, outdoor, morning yoga class, weather permitting. The cost is $15 and as an added bonus, you can enjoy one of your favorite beer/cocktail/non-alcoholic beverage of choice during the practice, included with the cost of the class. Tricia Heibel is an RYT200 Yoga Teacher at Replenish Yoga & Wellness in the Backus Community Center. As of yesterday, Loony's Brew now has a dedicated place for artists to promote and sell their creations, including paintings, photos, and other two dimensional pieces. As you can see below, this is located in the back of the pub, next to the Bumper Pool table. A few comments and FAQs:
Stop by this weekend to see all the new artwork on display, about a dozen new pieces were added yesterday! Cheers, Loony's Brew |
