The Lost Bay IPA has been Found!

3/28/2018

It's been awhile but now with the expanded bar and more taps available, we're finally able to bring back some of the original styles we planned for, one of them being the Lost Bay IPA, this one having picked up a little Rue along the way.
The Specs:
  • SRM (Color): 7.7
  • IBU (Bitterness): 59
  • ABV: 5.4%
A hoppy ale with reddish hues, it's smooth and refreshing with hints of Rue and Borage.

We added Rue as one it's a bitter herb, complimentary to an IPA, and second, for all it's wonderful aromatic attributes that are only enhanced through the fermentation process. Rue comes from the Greek word
reuo, with the translation being "to set free". So named as it was a powerful remedy against disease and considered to give second sight, free the spirit from negative and harmful influences.
Come down to try one out, either as a tasting, pint, liter, pitcher, or in one of our many growlers togo.

Cheers,
The Brewing Loony

The Valhalla is back, with more Coriander!!!

3/28/2018

The Valhalla took a trip to Italy and came back loaded with the medicinal, aromatic herb coriander, giving it an extra flavor and taste you'll unlikely find with any beer you've ever had before.
The Specs:
  • SRM (Color): 3.0
  • IBU (Bitterness): 23
  • ABV: 7.0%
Why so much coriander? The original recipe used a little bit of coriander but not much, and after learning more about this wonderful herb, decided to use the Valhalla and really load it up. Coriander is known for health benefits including for neuralgia (relaxes nerves), rheumatic pain (in the joints), flatulent colic (food digestion), and cramps, it helps with producing digestive juices and stimulates the appetite.
Come down to try one out, either with a small complimentary tasting or in a pint, liter, pitcher, or various growlers.

Cheers,

Introducing the Amaizing NA!!!

3/24/2018

After many requests for a non alcoholic offering, we've finally released our first NA beer, the Amaizing NA.
The Specs:
  • SRM (Color): 2.3
  • IBU: 16
  • ABV: 0.0%
Note that the IBU or bitterness will be a bit higher than the measured 16 level. This is from the process of making it NA, re-heating the beer for a certain amount of time and temperature to burn off the alcohol, the bitterness will increase, some say by over 50%. This is one of the reasons why the Amaizing was chosen, as it already has a very low hops or bitterness amount.
Available in a pint, liter, pitcher, and 750 ml or 64 ounce growlers. A smooth NA beer but with flavor, including 6 row barley, corn, and light on the hops.

Cheers,
The Brewing Loony
