I just heard the news It couldn't be more blue For I'll always remember The song of the day a tremble Yes it's true I didn't know you long But I'll always remember the song Of all the times you helped us through With y9ur spark, always new You may have pushed sometimes too far Break the glass, left in shards You were the one that brought me fishing So much more, I am wishing But not to be, just the way it goes The tragic card, has been thrown I surely wish wherever you are So much more, than the cards You will not be, forgotten so Like a seed, born to grow Your ideas and inspiration What I'll strive, an inclination So whatever new stage you play I'll always remember, the song of the day Cheers,
The Sad Loony

Well said Matt. In the too short of time knowing Johnny, he touched me in a very positive way. I remember him helping us power wash the decks. Always so supportive and positive .

I remember Johnny, a Ranier Village fixture, for his helpfulness and his eccentricities. At once kind and boisterous, resourceful and quirky. I recall him teaching (an undisclosed beginner) how to drive golf balls off the Loony’s dock, but being quickly reminded of the 3-1/2” lip that must to be cleared before launching the ball lake-ward...

I reconnected with Johnny a few years back and it was amazing his warm smile, his strong hand shake (must of been fro gripping those golf clubs) and the warm embrace of 2 cousins who hadn’t seen each other in years. I saw him whenever i came to visit family the last time in 2016. It does my heart good to hear the kind of person he was and how he liked to help others. My thoughts and prayers go out to Brenda and his family.

John was my uncle, such a wild and funny spirit. Thank you for writing this, I knew him all my 28 beautiful years and we miss him dearly. If you know the Vedaa's you know we are tough, but right now most of us feel awfully broken without our dear Johnny Rebel.
